MINI CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR TWO
MINI CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR TWO
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 ounces unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1/4 cup milk
- FOR THE CHOCOLATE FROSTING
- 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate melted and cooled
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- FOR THE COLORED FROSTING
- 16 ounces store bought white frosting
- Red icing dye
INSTRUCTIONS
FOR THE CAKE
- Position oven rack to center of oven and preheat to 325 degrees F.
- Line the bottom of a 4-inch round, springform cake tin with parchment paper and grease the sides.
- To a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa,set aside.
